Most countries in the world have signed on to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) – a comprehensive guide for sustainable national development.

In 2021, the UN Resident Coordinator’s Office in Trinidad and Tobago launched a masterclass to empower local civil servants with the knowledge and tools needed for continuous alignment with the SDG. But they needed to get them interested in the masterclass in the first place.

The existing SDG symbol is a colourful wheel, with each segment representing specific goals, like gender equality or education. This influenced the visual motif for the event: 3D models of the SDG segments, like puzzle pieces stacking and shifting before falling into place. It would set the stage for vibrant and inviting collateral material, from long-form reports to certificates and invitations.
